Immerse yourself in the sounds of the forest, feel the crunch of snow under your feet and gaze up at the stars through the sparkling branches of the illuminated trees.

On your journey, you’ll meet a glowing Mama Bear and her cubs as they play in a field beneath a sky bright with the Aurora Borealis. You’ll also hear the excited chatter of the Pine Marten family and watch as Fish leaps for joy in a magically flowing pond. Feel goosebumps rise on your neck as Wolf howls to a giant moon and marvel at Bison as he majestically emerges from the snow to join Owl’s quest.

This spell-binding experience celebrates the incredible animals who live in Banff National Park, speaks to the cherished healing and restorative powers of this land, and tells an inspiring story of hope and unity.

Tickets on sale soon, for the holiday experience that will thrill and delight visitors of all ages. 

Starting from Banff Avenue Square, In Search of Christmas Spirit is a free experience available on select nights of the holiday season. The experience is ticketed for your comfort and safety, with bookings staggered by 15-minute intervals from 5pm -10pm. The trail runs on weekends from November 26th to December 19th and daily from Christmas Eve to January 2nd.

We estimate that you and your loved ones will need one-hour to complete the story journey – an easy walk through a live Christmas story told by the wildlife of Banff National Park.

Please consider that this is an outdoor event and dress appropriately, including proper footwear. There is limited access, with an uneven walkway and irregular steps. You are welcome to bring walking poles with metal tips.
